Built on Today’s Most Powerful, Robust CAD System
Verisurf CAD reads all native CAD file formats including IGES, STEP, CATIA, Unigraphics/NX, Pro-E, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, and numerous others. This flexibility means that you can easily work with any CAD model – solid, surface or wireframe.
DESIGN
Verisurf DESIGN is a complete 3D design application with direct solid modeling, 3D surface modeling, and drafting.
CAD Compatible standard file-formats including; VDA, IGES, STEP, STL, Parasolid, and ACIS. Native file formats included are; SolidWorks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD, Inventor, Spaceclaim, KeyCreator, Rhinoceros, and optional formats are; Dassault CATIA, Siemens NX and PTC creo. This flexibility means that you can easily create or import and edit any CAD model – solid, surface, or wireframe.
Direct-Editing of Solids allows you to modify solids that have no history to edit. You can select faces of a solid body to change the length, you can modify the radius of fillets or remove them altogether. You can select bosses or cavities and move them, copy them, or eliminate them entirely.
History-Based Solids allows you to construct models from the simplest wireframe sketches and to continue to edit the model to meet your desired result. These functions create a sequential history of individual operations that can easily be edited as required and update downstream operations automatically. These functions offer a great amount of flexibility for future change.
Surface Modeling is an excellent way to create, edit, and display shapes from simple surfaces of revolution to complex organic shapes that cannot easily be visualized using a wireframe model display. DESIGN gives you a powerful set of surface design tools for straightforward control over every detail of your work.
Wireframe includes everything you need for the creation and editing of lines, arcs, splines, and points. Beyond 2D sketch creation, 3D capabilities offer unlimited flexibility to create the geometry you need with ease.
Drafting functionality includes; dimensions, labels, and notes to communicate important design information to the shop floor.
A Virtual Gage for Real-Time Inspection and Assembly
Verisurf Build is the industry-leading tool for real-time, model-based inspection and tool fabrication, providing a common metrology platform for virtually all portable 3D measuring devices.
Known as the Virtual Gage, Verisurf Build displays deviation with the probe’s movement as you inspect the part in relation to the nominal CAD model. After quick alignment to the CAD model, simply measure error in the manufactured part with Build’s live, intuitive interface. Literally see part-to-model deviations, coordinates and assigned IDs all in real-time during inspection.
For virtual assembly, you can set multiple tolerances and feature types such as surfaces, lines, arcs and more. An arrow indicator and deviation readout then guide you in real-time through the build process. You can even enhance visibility using color, graphics, and various other clever features. With Verisurf Build, you eliminate hard tooling while ensuring accurate, expedient manufacturing for quality control.
Fast, Easy CMM Programming and Operation
Verisurf AUTOMATE programs and operates CMM’s faster, easier and at a lower cost with a 3D CAD measurement platform that automates all types and brands of coordinate measuring machines. An intuitive 3D experience combined with visual object-oriented programming and open standards all contribute to reducing training, support, and maintenance costs while increasing freedom of choice.
Easy online programming in “Teach Mode” or fast offline programming with standard CAD formats; ACIS, AutoCAD, IGES, Inventor, KeyCreator, Mastercam, Parasolid, Rhino, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, SpaceClaim, STEP, STL, and VDA or optional CAD formats; CATIA with FTA, Siemens NX, and PTC Pro/ENGINEER Creo.
Visual object-oriented sequencing and CMM probe path generation quickly create automated inspection plans, executes them, and generates reports. Intelligent tree objects with drag and drop re-ordering are easily edited with logical right-click options. Probe points and paths are created and edited dynamically on CAD features or surfaces including specialized routines for helical and radial surfaces. Verisurf’s open 3D measurement platform strategy means inspection plans can be executed on any supported stationery or portable CMM increasing flexibility, eliminating inspection bottlenecks, and reducing training and support costs.
Analyze Measured Data to any CAD Model
Whether the source is CATIA, SolidWorks, UG, Pro-E or any other CAD system, Verisurf Analysis quickly and efficiently analyzes part tolerance by comparing measured points to nominal features in a CAD model.
Whether it is from CATIA, UG, Pro-E, SolidWorks or another CAD system, Verisurf Analysis lets you import the nominal CAD model and compare it against both internal and vendor inspection data. Analyze points-to-points, points-to-curves, points-to-surfaces or points-to-meshes and instantly generate deviation reports. Customizable “best-fit” capabilities innovatively determine the optimal fit between the data and the model. For reporting, Verisurf Analysis generates Excel-based text and HTML-based color reports, including color deviation mapping for clear, practical analysis.
Powerful, Versatile Reverse Engineering Software
Verisurf Reverse is a complete Reverse Engineering (RE) solution offering many robust, powerful and innovative tools to create CAD models from measured parts.
Re-engineer CAD surfaces, use AutoSurface to reverse engineer complex surfaces, or use mixed modeling to blend STL meshes, surfaces, and Download Reverse DS solids in one design. Working with measured data from any measuring device, Verisurf Reverse automatically creates surfaces, features, and planar, grid, or radial cross-sections on machined parts to create precise CAD models. Leveraging advanced tools, Verisurf Reverse creates and custom-fits lines, arcs, splines, planes, spheres, cylinders, freeform surfaces, and more. Providing a fully integrated, comprehensive solution, Reverse also creates meshes from point clouds in the form of an STL file for surface analysis or future tooling and machining.
