Dip coating: a simple and functional technique
The dip coating technique emerges as an easy and affordable solution for the deposition of thin films on a large variety of substrates. Prior to the deposition, the dip coating parameters are set on a computer that controls the dip coater containing a clip holding the substrate.
In a first stage, the substrate is vertically immersed with a constant speed into the coating solution. When the substrate is withdrawn, it entrains the coating liquid. The formation of the thin film can be broken down into three distinct regions:

Finally, in some cases, a drying step and a post-thermal treatment are required in order to obtain the desired thin-film.

Nadetech ND-DC Dip Coater is a completely automatized device for the fabrication of thin-films by means of the dip-coating technique. Accuracy and reproducibility are assured by the programable software included, allowing for the control and automatization of all parameters during the deposition process. ND-R Rotary
Nadetech ND-R Rotary Dip Coater is a completely automatized device for the fabrication of multilayer thin-films by means of the dip-coating technique. The rotary axes permit to work with up to eight different solutions at different temperatures and dipping parameters. Accuracy and reproducibility are assured by the programable software included, allowing for the control and automatization of all parameters during the deposition process. Nanometric multilayer coatings can be obtained with one or multiple layers by dip coating techniques, including sol-gel, polymeric layers, self-assembled monolayers, and all kind of biofilms.

ND-2D / ND-3D Multiaxis
Nadetech ND-2D and ND-3D consist of automatized units for the fabrication of multilayer thin-films by means of the dip-coating technique. The multiaxis dip coaters are optimised for layer-by-layer self-assembly allowing to work with multiple solutions, temperatures and dipping parameters, including different angles. Additionally, a sample washing and drying system can be incorporated for enhanced performance.
