NOVASPIDER,
one of a kind
NovaSpider was born as a scientific initiative lead by the prestigious CIC nanoGUNE (Spain), focused on the simple manufacturing of ultra-thin fibre structures at an extremely competitive price. The NovaSpider family provide state-of-the-art tools for the production of nanocomposites via three different processes; melt electrowriting (MEW), solution electrospinning and pellet-drive 3D micro extrusion.
Developed by multidisciplinary team of scientist and engineers at the vanguardist CIC NANOGUNE, a pioneer Research Centre located in San Sebastian (Spain), including more than 70 scientist form over 25 countries.
The support of experts in the 3D printing industry has enabled the team to meet the highest standards and the incorporation of the most advanced manufacturing techniques. Compliance with the highest technical and market standard is ensured by our expert manufacturer of scientific equipment and industrials process scaling partner.
Exclusively distributed by IT3D GROUP.

Three additive manufacturing techniques. Combined

SOLUTION ELECTROSPINNING
Electrospinning is a fiber production method which uses electric force to draw charged threads from polymer solutions with diameters in the order of some hundred nanometers. In short, solution electrospinnig needs the material dissolved in an appropriate solvent forming a fluid which viscosity, surface tension and conductivity must be within certain ranges.

MELT ELECTROWRITING (MEW)
Melt electrospinning is a processing technique to produce fibrous structures from polymer melts. In this particular case of electrospinning, the collection of the fiber can be very focused. Therefore, combined with moving collectors, melt electrospinning writing is a way to perform 3D printing with ultrathin fibres. Moreover, polymer melts eliminate the need for volatile solvents.

PELLET-DRIVEN 3D MICRO EXTRUSION
Pellet Driven 3D Micro extrusion, also known as FDM, is a widely spread additive manufacturing technique to create 3D parts with thermoplastics. To sum up, this method consists on a layer-to-layer deposition of molten material that solidifies when it cools resulting in the desired structure. In addition, it can be performed with commercial and with custom made pellets.
